MAGA is Hatred
#MAGAisHate
Hatred is the power that drives the movement
At an individual level, MAGA supporters may not identify any hatred. But at a cultural level, MAGA is powered by hatred, from a number of people who do hate, and a majority of people who allow it. This combination can and has allowed for the worst atrocities in human history.
This power sustains the MAGA movement. At any point in time, it will be towards a specific target, but the target is arbitrary. The hatred will always move to another "other" group to sustain themselves.
The simplicity of hatred
Many of the problems facing Americans today can be overwhelming: an economic recession, a global pandemic, a natural disaster, and more. The causes of these events can be convoluted, can involve everyone, or maybe no one. These events can instantly leave people feeling powerless, completely unable to fix their situation. The fixes to these problems usually do not utilize the people affected and can take significant amounts of time.
Hatred provides a simple solution. All of the the problems stem from a person, or a group of people. Emotionally, this is a very satisfying answer that everyone can understand at a base level and have solutions on how to "fix" them. Once you get rid of these people, then the problems go away.
Hatred provides power to do terrible things
Its through this hatred that supporters of MAGA become activists. You can see this at Trump rallies that hatred of other people is what drives the message and what drives activism.
It is through this activism that MAGA political power is ultimately derived from. Millions of Americans now have accepted this hatred and will vote out, act out, threaten, and even take violent action against whoever stands in the way of fixing that hatred.
Because hatred is the source of power, it can never stop
If people were to stop allowing this hatred, the MAGA movement evaporates and all of the power that comes with it. They become just another group of people with interests and policy positions. The people in power recognize this, and so this hatred has to keep going. So they change the narrative, and suddenly the target of the hatred moves from one group to the next, and on and on and on it goes.

Elon Musk claims that Hitler, Stalin, and Mao Zedong weren't responsible for genocide
The post read: “Stalin, Mao, and Hitler didn’t murder millions of people. Their public sector employees did.” The point of the post was apparently to demonize government employees.
"Nazi leader Adolph Hilter led the murders of six million European Jews in the Holocaust and caused the deaths of millions more civilians in World War II. Dictator Josef Stalin killed between six and nine million Soviet citizens through executions, starvation and imprisonment. And Chinese Communist Party leader Mao Zedong's policies are estimated to have killed between 30 million and 45 million people through starvation and disease."

ICE raids have questioned and detained Native Americans
Native Americans in Arizona and New Mexico are being stopped, questioned and detained by ICE.
“My office has received multiple reports from Navajo citizens that they have had negative, and sometimes traumatizing, experiences with federal agents targeting undocumented immigrants in the Southwest,” Nygren said in the release.
"Arizona state Sen. Theresa Hatathlie, who is Diné/Navajo, told CNN she received a report from the family of a Navajo woman who said she was questioned by ICE and asked to show proof that she was Native after her workplace was raided Wednesday morning.
The woman says she was at her work site in Scottsdale, Arizona, when she and seven other Indigenous citizens were lined up behind white vans and questioned for two hours without their cell phones or a way to contact their families, according to Hatathlie.
“Now is it ICE or some other entity, I don’t know,” said Hatathlie, who represents Legislative District 6, which encompasses the Navajo Nation. “I did work with some individuals to confirm whether or not ICE did do that work site raid, but the communication back to me was that it’s not a normal practice for ICE to confirm a raid or not.”
The woman says she was eventually permitted to use her cell phone and text family members, who sent her a photo of her Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB), and she was then allowed to leave, Hatathlie said. It is unclear what happened to the seven other Indigenous people who were questioned. "

Trump criticizes Rt. Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde message of mercy
Hours earlier, Budde made a plea to Trump during her sermon as he was sitting in the first pew at the service. “I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared. There are gay, lesbian, transgender children, Democratic, Republican, independent families — some who fear for their lives,” she said.
“The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meatpacking plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals — they may not be citizens or have the proper documentation, but the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals,” she added.
Trump took this message of mercy of the service and criticized the bishop and the church: “The so-called Bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was a Radical Left hard line Trump hater. She brought her church into the World of politics in a very ungracious way. She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart,” he said.

There is an increasing worry of political violence that could be carried out by MAGA. Republicans in particular are fearful for their lives and their families if they do not fall in line.

"“Violence and threats against elected leaders are suppressing the emergence of a pro-democracy faction of the GOP,” writes Rachel Kleinfeld, an expert on political violence at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Absent threats, Kleinfeld argues, a move to Trump from inside the party — perhaps a more serious challenge in the presidential primary — might have had a better chance of getting off the ground.
In her paper, Kleinfeld notes a striking example of this effect at work — a comment by Kim Ward, the Trump-supporting Republican leader of the Pennsylvania state Senate, on what would happen if she spoke out against the former president.

Mass deportation plans making MAGA sound like Nazis
Excerpts from Rolling Stones article:
- “I have received some guidance to avoid terms, like ‘camps,’ that can be twisted and used against the president, yes,” says one close Trump ally. “Apparently some people think it makes us look like Nazis.”
It wasn’t the news media that came up with the term “camps” to describe the plans for Trump’s new, expanded system of detention facilities for holding immigrants awaiting mass deportations — a network of detention centers that he could potentially call on the U.S. military to help build and operate. It was Team Trump that started describing the future that way.
- And yet, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the matter, the Times article infuriated some of Team Trump’s senior staff, who privately said they believed the reporting made their candidate — the once and future leader of the free world — appear extreme and borderline fascistic, especially on “the concentration camps framing,” a Trump adviser notes.
Months later, Trump, himself, didn’t shut down the idea his administration would put migrants in camps. “I would not rule out anything,” Trump said, when Time magazine asked whether he would build new detention camps. Pressed about Miller’s plan for camps, Trump said: “It’s possible that we’ll do it to an extent but we shouldn’t have to do very much of it, because we’re going to be moving them out as soon as we get to it.”

But as the pressure campaign devolved this week into death threats against lawmakers and their families, something unexpected happened: Positions hardened, and a ragtag coalition of roughly 20 House Republicans rose up to deny Jordan the speakership.

He has promised to “rain hell” on Washington from a Trump administration perch come January 2025 and to eviscerate institutions that he says treat Trump unfairly. He calls Democrats “Marxists” and “evil” and has joked — in ways that many others don’t always take jokingly — that he would send journalists and former GOP personalities including George Conway and Tim Miller to “the gulag” and would put migrant kids in “cages.” “My goal,” he once told me, “is for the Supreme Court to dismantle most of the federal government.” --Politico

Conservative talk radio host mocks Gov. Walz's son
Following the Democractic National Convention where Governor Tim Walz accepts the nomination to become the Vice Presidential nominee, his son Gus Walz is seen on television standing up and clapping for his dad.
Radio host Jay Weber wrote in a post on X about it, "Sorry, but this is embarrassing for both father and son. If the Walzs represent today's American man, this country is screwed: 'Meet my son, Gus. He's a blubbering bitch boy. His mother and I are very proud.'"
Gus Walz, 17, has ADHD, an anxiety disorder and a non-verbal learning disorder, his parents said in an interview with People. The non-verbal learning disorder, which his dad calls his "secret power," is shared by millions of Americans.
Weber later apologized for the tweet.
However, this is not the first time Weber has gone after a candidate's family. In a post from 2015, he shared an article about someone who offered 50 cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats to marry Malia Obama, daughter of former President Barack Obama. Weber replies, "It's not a bad deal." She was 16 at the time.
Trump Says Disabled Americans Like My Son ‘Should Just Die’
Fred Trump, nephew of Donald Trump, started an advocacy group to promote the needs of the intellectually disabled, and the policies and initiatives that support independent and lifelong inclusion.
Excerpt from Time article written by Fred Trump:
“Those people . . . ” Donald said, trailing off. “The shape they’re in, all the expenses, maybe those kinds of people should just die.”
I truly did not know what to say. He was talking about expenses. We were talking about human lives. For Donald, I think it really was about the expenses, even though we were there to talk about efficiencies, smarter investments, and human dignity.

Trump says immigrants are poisoning the blood of our country
Trump remarks at Rally in New Hampshire:
“They’re poisoning the blood of our country,” the former president said. “They’ve poisoned mental institutions and prisons all over the world. Not just in South America, not just the three or four countries that we think about, but all over the world they’re coming into our country from Africa, from Asia.”

Kash Patel threatens to prosecute journalists
Kash Patel threatens to target journalists and attempt to “prosecute them for crimes”.
“We will go out and find the conspirators, not just in government but in the media. Yes, we’re going to come after the people in the media who lied about American citizens, who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections – we’re going to come after you,” Patel said on a podcast hosted by another former Trump adviser, Steve Bannon.
“Whether it’s criminally or civilly, we’ll figure that out. But yeah, we’re putting you all on notice,” Patel added. “We’re actually going to use the Constitution to prosecute them for crimes they said we have always been guilty of but never have.”

Senators fear far-right violence based on their votes
According to Senator Romney, "One Republican congressman confided to Romney that he wanted to vote for Trump’s second impeachment, but chose not to out of fear for his family’s safety. The congressman reasoned that Trump would be impeached by House Democrats with or without him — why put his wife and children at risk if it wouldn’t change the outcome? Later, during the Senate trial, Romney heard the same calculation while talking with a small group of Republican colleagues. When one senator, a member of leadership, said he was leaning toward voting to convict, the others urged him to reconsider. You can’t do that, Romney recalled someone saying. Think of your personal safety, said another. Think of your children. The senator eventually decided they were right."
Libs of TikTok generates fake outrage on ordinary Americans
Raichik reposts TikTok videos made by Americans, mostly LGBTQ people, "often including incendiary framing designed to generate outrage." Videos originally meant for small and friendly audiences are dangled out for the right's daily Two Minutes Hate sessions. Raichik uses accusations of "grooming" to justify what is, in reality, a virtual effort to revive the practice of gay-bashing. All the worst people in America — including Fox News hosts and Joe Rogan — adore the account. [1]
This account has revealed the names and locations of teachers, LGBTQ people, and others on the left and promoted dangerous lies about "grooming" that has resulted in harassment, threats, and lost livelihoods for private individuals. The narratives from accounts like these get promoted by others, including politicians and Fox News. [2]

Ten days after Hogan’s request, Trump mocked Hogan on Twitter, calling him “just as bad as the flawed tests he paid big money for!”

Trump ignores disaster aid request for Utah's damaging storms
Trump took 97 days to approve a disaster request by then-Utah Gov. Gary Herbert, a Republican, following damaging storms in October 2020 despite a FEMA report showing the state sustained twice as much damage as needed to meet the threshold for providing disaster aid.
While Trump was considering the request, Herbert was one of the first Republican officials to recognize Biden as the election winner and denounced a decision by Utah’s attorney general to join a lawsuit challenging the 2020 election results in four states that Trump lost.
